He was predeceased by: his parents, Lupe Rodriguez and Juanita Rodriguez (Guardiola); his son Johnny; his niece Janie Rodriguez; and his sisters, Lupita and Juanita.
He is survived by: his wife Nieves Garcia; his children, Domingo Rodriguez (Shannon), David Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez (Kari), Simon Rodriguez, Nieves "Pinky" Lopez (Adan), Vidal Rodriguez (Ashley Duda) and Vanessa Palomino (Edgar); his daughter-in-law Linda Rodriguez; and his sister Antonia Rodriguez. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren.
Simon was passionate about helping children in need, so the family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St, Jude Children's Hospital.
