He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smith and Genevieve Smith (Myers); and his wife Susan Tripp. He is survived by: his daughters, Julia Peters (Brenda), Geneva Smith, Janice Smith and Evelyn Shaw (Ralph); and his brother Barney Smith. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
