He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Brenner and Hildagard Brenner (Schultz); and his sister Diane. He is survived by: his wife Sue Knickerbocker; his sister Denise; his nieces and nephews, Isabella, Elvia, Jessica (Lenny), Duncan, Rebecca, Andrew and Mariah; and his pet Ren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hope House in St. Louis.
