He was predeceased by: his parents, William Troyer and Helen Troyer (Gulde); and his brother James Troyer. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Anne Smith; his sons, Jarek and Joseph; his grandchildren, Hope and Ian of Denver, CO; his daughter Julia Troyer of South Korea; his grandchild Jarek Troyer of East Lansing; his cousins, Susan, Sarah, David and Janet; his parents-in-law, Tom and Marie Smith of Jackson; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Smith (Jerry) and Tom Smith (Heather). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
