He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Vallance and Lena Vallance (Erskine); and his close friend Dale. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sumner; his children, Ryan (Lacy) of Murfreesboro, TN, Haden of Murfreesboro, TN, Maison of Murfreesboro, TN, Weston of Murfreesboro, TN, Reneé Whipple (Tom) and Gretchen of Comstock Park, MI; his close friends, Russ and Joneen Wight; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Sumner of Gladwin, MI and Cherrie Lundberg (Ralph) of Pentwater, MI.
