He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Spitler and Louise Spitler (Neal); and his brother Ron. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Church (Gordon) and Steve Spitler (Sarah); his grandson Brandon Turland; and his sisters, Diane and Carol.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spitler Family.
