She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marion Bogart and Esther Bogart (Urich); her husband Ronald Shaw; her children, Charlene Schmidt of Alma and Ronald Shaw (Sherry) of Alma; her grandchildren, Tammy Jo Schmidt, Richard Schmidt (Heather), Brandon Shaw (Susan) and Casey Shaw (Angie); her great grandchildren, Emily, William, Addison and Kaitlyn; her siblings, Darlene Petersen, Sylvia Gustdavidson, Wayne Bogart (Maxine), Jerry Bogart and Frank Bogart (Juanita); her son-in-law Richard Schmidt; and her siblings, Helen Carter, Norma Heil, Don and Ken. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
