He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Burgess and Minnie Burgess (Lohnes); his wife Donna Louis Groves; and his significant other Jean Beiske. He is survived by: his children, Diane Crandell of Texas and Brian Burgess of Virginia. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
