She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Francis and Audra E. Francis (Decker); her former husband George W. Cappell; her husband Henry S. Smith; her great grandchild Abigail; her brother George W. Francis, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Donna Lee Francis, Phyllis Cappell, John V. Cappell and Lincoln Cappell.
She is survived by: her children, Michele "Micky" Johnston (John), Sandra Fogus (James) and Daniel Cappell (Patricia); her grandchildren, William (Kerrie), Joseph (Emily), Adam, Rebecca (Brian), Robin (Brandon), Jill (Drew), Peter (Katie), Caitlin, Denise, Michelle (Brian), Sara, Eric (Lauren) and Steven (Katy); her great grandchildren, Fiona, Callum, Marie, Max, Ryan (Jessica), Samuel, Benjamin, Leah, Audrey, Evan, Phoebe, Claire, Frances, Cora and Henry; her stepdaughters, Audrey Lewis and Catherine Murphy; her stepgrandchildren, Laura (Michael), Gavin, John and Lauren; her stepgreat-granddaughter Audrey; and her cousin Eileen Pierson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
