He was predeceased by: his mother Karen Gilbert (Mapes); and his stepmother Katie. He is survived by: his father Bruce Gilbert (Barb); and his siblings, Alan Gilbert (Kim), Linda Carey (Kirby) and Rodney Gilbert (Cindy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
