He was predeceased by: his father Cornelius Pals; and his wife Joyce Pals. He is survived by: his mother May Lou Pals (VanHouten); his daughter Amy Tarpley (Patrick); his stepchildren, Scott Vander Haar (Lisa) and Cindy Swanson (Ron); his grandchildren, Jordyn Pals, Camryn Pals, Jason Swanson (Brandyee), Shane Swanson (Alex), Leah Capan (Colt) and Ryan Vander Haar; his brother Larry Pals (Lori); and his close friend Renee'Barkel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
