He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores; and his daughter Frances. He is survived by: his children, Josefina Mancilla, Rhonda Mancilla, Maria Espinoza, Dalfina, James Storm, Joe Mancilla, Terri Kooienga, Adam Mancilla and Fernado Jose Windemuller; and his sisters, Cecilia, Maria, Luisa, Beda and Escolastica. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (6651 Scott St, Allendale Charter Twp, MI 49401). A rosary was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke University Parish (10144 42nd Ave, Georgetown Twp, MI 49428).

Memorial contributions in Jose's name may be made to the Hospice of your choice.
