He was predeceased by: his parents, Derwin DeJonge and Marian DeJonge (Van Til); his parents-in-law, Marvin and Mary Ellen Velthouse (Wanrooy); and his sister-in-law Marcia DeJonge.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy DeJonge; his children, Jenny (Andy Van Houten), Jessica (Ryan Boluyt), Sarah (Chad Kooienga) and Philip (Stacey DeJonge); and his siblings, Linda (Ray Lutke), Kathi (Larry Biddle), Dan (Beth DeJonge), Mark (Chris DeJonge), Wes (Kate DeJonge) and Dee (Mike Freestone). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
