He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt Kingma and Mary Ann Kingma (Janis); his grandson Dyllan Morris; and his brothers, Jim Kingma and Bob Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Kingma; his son John Jr. Kingma (Shana); his stepchildren, Kimberly Morris (Daniel), Angela Smith (Dan) and Josh Odmark (Amanda); his grandchildren, Lily, Collin, Jaxon Kingma, Konnor Morris, Bevin, Cayvin Smith and Jerrik Odmark; his siblings, Bill Thompson (Kathy), Maryjeanne Kuemmerle, Betty Grutter (Buck), Alyce Schumacher, Shirley Dykstra (Terry) and Patty Stewart (Mike); and his sisters-in-law, Terri Thompson and Cynthia Berg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
