He is survived by: his wife Hilda; his children, Gary Vander Wal (Deb), Kenneth Vander Wal (Deanna), Randall Vander Wal (Sherri), Dennis Vander Wal (Laura), Douglas Vander Wal (Rosemary), Calvin Vander Wal (Lilia) and Kurtis Vander Wal (Jill); and his siblings-in-law, Martin Vander Muelen and Mildred Eisen. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
