He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman DeJong and Leona DeJong (Riemersma); and his sister Beverly Knoll. He is survived by: his wife Karen; and his children, Gene DeJonge Jr. (Janis), Tab DeJonge (Renee), Doralynn Runyon (Tom), Joy DeJong (Mike), Karrie Smith (Tim), Daphane DeJonge, Don Barnes (Jennifer) and John DeJonge (Rachel). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 15 ½ great grandchildren.
