As we bid Donald farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Donald is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Diane VanHuizen; and his son-in-law Mike DeVries. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Darlene Oom (Gary), Dale Knoper (Kathy) and Debra DeVries; and his son-in-law Jim VanHuizen (Sue). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Allendale Christian Reformed Church (5734 Country View Dr, Allendale Charter Twp, MI 49401).
