He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy (Vander Wilk); his daughter Julie Lynn; and his siblings, Alice Bruggink, Glenn Vander Wilk and Sharon Vander Wilk.
He is survived by: his pet Lady; his children, Lori Borgerding (Martin) of Wayland, Deborah Van Dyke (Jon) of Roscommon, Carl Van Steinvoorn of Caledonia and Diane Boltze of Allendale; and his siblings, Helen Van Steinvoorn, Leo Van Steinvoorn (Jean), Jack Van Steinvoorn (Barb), Mary Peterson, Michael Vander Wilk, David Vander Wilk (Kristie) and Barbara Davis. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following COVID-19 precautions, limited family visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17 at 12 noon with a service scheduled for 1pm at Walker United Reformed Church located at 1941 Randall Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534.
