Walter T. Zombeck Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter T. Zombeck (Allen Park, Michigan), born in Windber, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Zombeck and Nellie Zombeck; his wife Mary Lou; and his siblings, Antoinette, Anna, Sophie, Mary, John, Andrew, Joseph, Edward, Frank, Stanley, Leo and Jacob.
He is survived by: his daughter Bonnie (Robert O'Connor); and his sister-in-law Shirley Zombeck. He is also survived by many other nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family (10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). The military honors was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church (3965 Merrick St, Dearborn Heights, MI 48125). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church (3965 Merrick St, Dearborn Heights, MI 48125).
