He is survived by: his son Robert Handyside (Lisa); his grandchildren, Madison, Jacob, Carson and Andrew; his siblings, George Handyside (late Sandy), Beth O'Neil and Don Handyside; and his niece Cindy Meloche (Dan).

Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family (10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Baptist Church, Allen Park.
