Rankin of Allen Park, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 15, 2024 at the age of 64. He was predeceased by: his parents, Duncan Rankin and Mary Rankin (MacDonald); and his siblings, Hugh Rankin, Daniel Rankin, Brian Rankin and Catherine Pistonetti.

He is survived by: his siblings, Ronald Rankin (Debra), Mary Ingraham (Allan), Angus Rankin, Robert Rankin (Karen), Raymond Rankin and JoAnne Hebert (Ted); and his cousin Hugh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
