He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Michael Hornyak and Elizabeth Hornyak; his wife Kathy; his daughters, Elizabeth Hornyak (Kurt Umbarger) and Jessica Hornyak; his siblings, Michael Hornyak (Julie Gagne), Claudia Melvin, Andrea Morrison (Jim), Daniel Hornyak (Mary) and William Hornyak (Wendy Hylton); his grandchildren, Myra Thomas and John Umbarger; and his mother-in-law Midge Kough. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Voran Funeral Home - Allen Park Chapel (5900 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery (32163 Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial tree may be planted in honor of John.
