He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Michael Hornyak and Elizabeth Hornyak; his wife Kathy; his daughters, Elizabeth Hornyak (Kurt Umbarger) and Jessica Hornyak; his siblings, Michael Hornyak (Julie Gagne), Claudia Melvin, Andrea Morrison (Jim), Daniel Hornyak (Mary) and William Hornyak (Wendy Hylton); his grandchildren, Myra Thomas and John Umbarger; and his mother-in-law Midge Kough. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial tree may be planted in honor of John.
