He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hegedus and Ollie Hegedus; and his granddaughter Amber Nicole. He is survived by: his children, Gary Hegedus (Julie) and Shelly Metcalf (Marvin); his grandchildren, Brett Hegedus (Anna), Rian Hegedus (Stacy), Brandon Hegedus (Raven), Matthew Metcalf, Ashlee DeLozier (Andrew), Lauren Lindisch (Brendan), Lyndsey Tanner (Kevin), Marshall Hegedus and Nina Hegedus; his great grandchildren, Zachary, Jackson, Connor, Oliver, Emma, Rosemary, Luke, Caroline and Brynley; his brother Charles Hegedus; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Scarlett, Grayson, Quinnley and Josephine; his cousin Bobby (Annette Marrs); and also Kelsey Daniels (John).
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home Chapel (30895 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Michigan Memorial Park. A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor George's memory are invited to make a donation in his name to the Michigan Humane Society.
