It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara A. Oakes of Allen Park, Michigan, born in Ada, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Barbara leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Harold Oakes; her children, Debra Cranford, Glenna Dailing (David) and Tom Cranford (Ann); and her stepchildren, Kathleen See (Jessie), Doris Gombos (Mike), Larry Oakes (Vicki) and Barbara Kannberg (Greg). She was also cherished by 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family (10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
