He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Thomas Balgoyen and Francis McConney Balgoyen; his brothers, Tom Balgoyen (Barb) and Dean Balgoyen (Ruthie); and his son-in-law Don Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Solveig "Tita" Balgoyen; his children, Eric Balgoyen (Amy), Ken Balgoyen, Marvin Balgoyen, Paul Balgoyen and Nora Balgoyen-Williams; and his siblings, LJ Balgoyen and Laurel Teusink (Art). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

“Bill was one of the nicest people I have ever known. We met when I was still in high school and remained friends for over sixty plus years. When he and Tita married we became even closer and shared many hours at the farm solving all the worlds problems and drinking homemade wine while Tita watched the kids. It just became our thing to do whenever we got together. I will miss him.”
