He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Olcott; and his wife Bonnie June Allgeo. He is survived by: his children, Judy Woods (Robert), Sue Chappell, Beth Stanloski (Monte) and Mark Olcott (June); his grandchildren, Sara Ramaker (Jason), Lisa Moore (James), Matthew Woods (Camille), Kieran Marshall, Lauren, Katharine Olcott and Molly Stanloski; his great grandchildren, Patrick Ramaker, Milo and Ruby Moore; and his sisters, Deane Williams and Joy Gough (Alan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Alongside Bonnie, Vern volunteered extensively at Ascension Borgess Allegan Hospital up until the pandemic.
