He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Rieber and Kathleen Theresa Baker; his wife Roberta Hoyt (Pease); his half-brother Victor Rieber; and his stepbrother Floyd Hoyt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Carlson, Kathleen Knight (Daryl) and Judith Gavan; and his grandchildren, Angela Gavan Hamady (Dave), Scott Gavan (Vatsana), Rebecca Bohl (Jason), Kristy Macdonald and Carrie Carlson Blickle (Ben). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of one's choosing.
