He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Hammer and Myrna Hammer (Haines); his son-in-law Matt Thomson; his grandson Josh Thomson; and his siblings, Caroline Hammer, Terry Hammer, Carl Hammer and Larry Jr. "Shorty" Hammer.
He is survived by: his wife LuLu Marie Hammer (Phelps); his son Mike Hammer (Tina); his grandchildren, Aubrie Hammer and Alyssa Hammer; his daughter Heather Thomson; his grandchildren, Caitlynn Thomson and Brayla Boulter; and his brothers, Kenny Hammer (Sue) and Bobby Hammer (Cary).
