He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Thompson and Anna Thompson (Shafer); his wife Sara Lee Thompson (Fisher); his sister Marilyn Sipple (Thompson); and his siblings-in-law, Carl Sandahl, Venila Hoffmaster, Harold Hoffmaster, Ellwood Fisher, Ellen Fisher, Charles Fisher and Beverly Fisher.
He is survived by: his children, David Thompson (Dana), Linda VanHouten (Jim) and Ken Thompson (Gina); his grandchildren, Dirk Thompson, Andrea DeMeritt (Andrew), Airkia Kolenda and Sara Taylor (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Rasce, Elyi, Izaiah, Hudzen Kolenda, Aubrey, Caleb DeMeritt, Daggie Thompson and Ella Taylor; his siblings, Maxine Sandahl, Bernice Wentzel (Charlie), Lawrence Thompson (Sharon) and Carolyn Miner (Don); and his brother-in-law Jack Sipple. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
