He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank L. Tibbitts and Lorraine A. Tibbitts (Carlson); his parents-in-law, Frank and Velma Modl; his siblings, Bud "Ken" Tibbitts, Frank Tibbitts, Jr., Bob Tibbitts, Ron Tibbitts and Lorraine Tibbitts; and his brother-in-law Roger Modl.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Modl; his children, Cindy Tibbitts (Steve DeLavern) and Steven Tibbitts (Jana); his grandchildren, Julie Christman (Chase) and Nathan Tibbitts (Jayd); his great grandchild Cayd Tibbitts; and his sister-in-law Ruth Modl. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
