He is survived by: his sons, Ron Schafer (Kim) and Mark Schafer (Kerry Briggs); his grandchildren, Tamarind Truax (Brian), Tara Schafer (Chris Verda), Ashlyn Schafer and Allyson Schafer; his great grandchildren, Ryan Truax and Parker Truax; and his sister Mary Phillips.
