He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ernest Carlson, Sr. and Marie Carlson (Dubas). He is survived by: his wife Marlene Marie Carlson (Sumerix); his children, Lisa Marie Waanders (Andrew Charles) and Nathan Ernest Carlson (Jennifer); his siblings, Maxine Edwards and William Root (Joan); and his grandchildren, Kalynn Carlson, Collin Carlson, Madelyn Waanders, Maci Carlson, Abigail Waanders and Blakely Carlson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel (528 Trowbridge St, Allegan, MI 49010). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at the Millgrove Cemetery (3791 121st Ave, Allegan, MI 49010).
