He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Oisten and Dorothy Oisten (Miller); and his siblings, Jim Miller, Don Oisten, Larry Oisten, Helen Oisten, Ellen, Margie and Bonnie.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon L. Oisten (Plotts); and his children, Deborah Baxter (Don), Tim Oisten (Teresa), Chris Oisten (Christina), Mark Oisten (Patti), Thomas Oisten and Angela Donahue (Gregory). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Chet's name Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wings of Hope Hospice.
