He was predeceased by: his parents, Roe Johnson and Margie Johnson (Utter); his former wife Winnifred; his siblings, Clair Johnson, Bob Johnson, Don Johnson, Alice Jones and Bernice Andre; and his daughter-in-law Misty Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Johnson (Dyer); his children, Pat Johnson, Trudy Kinney (Alan), Linda Hays (Dave), Sam Johnson (Cathy) and Ted Johnson; his siblings, Marv Johnson, Ruby Hyde, Roscoe Johnson and Rex Johnson; and his grandchildren, Dominick, Krista, Lauren, Joshua, Aaron, Nathan, Shawn, Kacey, Heather, Ian, Torey, Becky and Ginnie. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
