He is survived by: his wife Maurine; his son Carl Ockert; his stepson Steve Nelson (Anne); his daughter Meghan Elsea (Joshua); and his stepdaughter Kathleen Stroven. He is also survived by his stepdaughter from a previous marriage, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
