He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignatius Peter and Bertha Emily Kiella (Zalimas); his wife Phyllis Anne Malarney; his siblings, Albert, Petronele, Genevieve and Bernice; and his granddaughter Jacqueline Sue Rice.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Matthew (Marissa), Kelsey (Sean), Nick (Melody), Layne (Zach), Lauren (Eric), Diana (Tom), Scott (Megan), Christopher (Erin) and Brooke (Parker); his great grandchildren, Isabelle, Walker, Jude, George, Kate, Jack, Liza, Sloan, Simon, Margot, Finley, Charlie and Gemma; his brother Lawrence "Larry" Kiella; and his sister-in-law Marge Malarney (Kincaid) of East Lansing. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
