It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scott Edward Hanel of Algonac, Michigan, born in Port Huron, Michigan, who passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Keith Hanel; and his son Trever Hanel. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Hanel; his significant other William Moree; his children, Ashlie Hanel (Josh Tataren) and Aaron Foreman; his grandchildren, Jameson, Alaina and Adrianna; his goddaughter Alyssa Deboer (Steve); his siblings, Deland Bacheller (Sara), Dan Bacheller (Brenda), Alan Hanel (Lisa), Kathy Cutcher (Scott), Cheryl Holm (Phil) and Lori Mathis (Russ); and his friend Jennifer Pittman (Casey). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
