He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Springer and Betty M. Springer (Lyman); his son Robert W. Springer; and his sisters, Patty Springer and Vickie Tipper.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine L. Crabtree; his children, Timothy Gruter (Ann), Annie Wiltsie (Matt Kellerman) and Will Zakas (Lisa); his grandchildren, Lilly Gruter, Trevor Wiltse, Brooke Wiltsie, Addison Kellerman, Piper Kellerman, Gabby Zakas, Jacob Zakas and Olivia Zakas; and his siblings, Chuck Tipper (Jessica), Penny Marsack, Tim Springer (Sharon), Scott Springer and Mark Springer.
