It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter John Riley of Alger, Michigan, born in Oxford, Michigan, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Riley and Lucille Riley (Shick); and his siblings, Bill, Ron, Don, Wanda Smith and Patricia Covill.

He is survived by: his wife Gaynol Riley (Denman) of Alger; his sons, John Riley (Jan) and Randy Riley (Lisa); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Schleicher, Destiny Riley, Derek Riley (Heather), Owen Riley (Nicole) and Colton Riley; his great grandchildren, Charlie and Juliet Schleicher; and his sister Lori Christian.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Edwards Community Church.
