He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Nickell and Myrtle Nickell (Nichols); and his siblings, Calvin Nickell, Clarence Nickell, William Nickell, Robert Nickell, Sylvia Osborne, Lucille Allen, Ethen Nickell and Thomas Nickell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Samantha Mitchell (Jim), Shirley Moore (Nick) and Lindsay Nickell (Jason Parker); his stepson Seth Adkins (Melissa); his grandchildren, Lexi Illig (Kyle), Blake Mitchell, Payten Parker, Keagan Bender, Jacob Moore, Dalynn, Reese and Paige Adkins; his siblings, Alvin Nickell, Dorothy Nedwick, Goldie Osborne, Etta Edwards, Esther Ward, Francis "Earl" Nickell (Fran) and Pearl Priest (Denny); and also, Janet Nickell, Paul Mead (Ann), Denise Welch, Bryan Dell (Sue) and Joe Frey (Lori). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
