He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Kernstock and Elizabeth Kernstock (Sharp); his siblings, Don, Bill Kernstock and Barb Eichman; and his parents-in-law, Fred and Agnes Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Kernstock; his children, Alicia LaHaie (Dustin), Catherine McCarty (Sam) and Kyle Kernstock (Rachael); his grandchildren, Gemma, Levi and Brynlee; and his brother-in-law Lester Eichman (Beatrice Kernstock). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
