She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Fierens and Grace Fierens (Guterman); her grandson Mason; her husband Gerald Thayer; her children, Sonja Kent (Cory), Kristin Sparks (Jerry) and Adam Thayer (Christy); her grandchildren, Donald Jr., Breanna, Will and Delayne; her great grandchild Wyatt; her siblings, Joyce Grigg (Dale), Lou Fierens (Bonnie), Dick Fierens (Sally) and Jim Fierens (Marlene); and her sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Lanker and Catherine.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio in honor of Charlotte.
