He is survived by: his wife Elaine J. Gildas; his sons, Michael Spires (Brenda) of Mancelona and Gregory Spires (Angela) of Alden; his grandchildren, Jenelle MacKenzie (Scott) of Granger, IN, Austin Spires (Meghan) of Gaylord, Justin Spires (Maria) of Shelby Twp and Kaitlyn Spires of Alden; his great grandchildren, Leighla MacKenzie, Lucas MacKenzie and Jack Spires; his siblings, Richard Spires (Jane) of Bellaire, Zila Healey of Charlevoix, Martina Sutter of Mancelona, Gertrude Westcott (Kenneth) of Mancelona, Edna Lanning (Norman) of Mancelona, Sheryl Miller (David) of Mancelona, Bonnie Wildfong (Jay) of Mancelona and Jeanne Hoogerhyde (Eric) of Mancelona; and his siblings-in-law, William Gildas (Maryann) of It Ocala, FL, James Gildas of It Ocala, FL and Jane Lopinski of Alden. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
