She was predeceased by: her father John McDonald; her nephew Ryan McDonald; her parent-in-law Charles Boyer; and also Jean Boyer. She is survived by: her husband Jim; her sons, Jacob of Norfolk, VA, Tim of Kalamazoo and Eric (Rachel McGaw) of Kalamazoo; her mother Leona McDonald of Mount Pleasant; and her brothers, Gary McDonald of Mount Pleasant and Dan McDonald of Royal Oak. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
