It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Gant (Albion, Michigan), who passed away on May 3, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Gant, Sr. and Cornelia Baxter Gant; his stepmothers, Inell Jackson Gant and Classie Jo Hunter Gant; his daughter Theresa White of Milwaukee, WI; and his siblings, Julius Gant, Jr. of Lebanon, PA, Dr. Leon Gant (Gloria) of Detroit, MI, Clifton L. Gant (Wilbur) of Saginaw, MI, Herbert Gant (Doris) of Flint, MI, Alice Thomas (Tommy) of Albion, Mattie Clayborne (Richard) of Battle Creek, Cornelia Miles (Asa) of Albion and Shirley.

He is survived by: his wife Lorene B. Gant of Albion; his sister Janet Geary of Detroit; his children, Ronald Gregory Gant of Albion, Tracy R. Gant of Albion, Stacy Gand Bryd of Columbia, MO, Tonya Dawnyelle Worthey of Jackson and Lori Blaine Lively of Euclid, OH; his grandchildren, Marhiyelle Warnsley (James) of Albion, Jasmine Byrd of Lansing, Mahkenzie Gant of Columbia, MO, Terrance Byrd of Albion, Erica Kurtz of Jackson, Monica Kurtz of Houston, TX, Cheyenne Blaine of Euclid, OH, Gregory Gant of Jackson, Micah Gant of Columbia, MO, Marcus Gant of Jackson and Maliyah Anglin of Albion; and his great grandchildren, Israel, Lyanah, Jayce, Cameron, Harmony, Naomi, Nava, Elijah, Desmond, Daijah, Devon and Jacorey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

He has received awards from the Negro Business & Professional Women in 1973, awarded the Excellence in Education Award from the Kellogg Foundation, Service Award from the Albion Alumni Association.
