He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael Fritz and Mary Fritz (Boratynski); his daughter Teresa M. Fowler; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Hurdelbrink and Shirley Gray.

He is survived by : his wife Dorene Fritz (Hurdelbrink); and his children, Kimberly Cvitkovic (Mitchell), Susan Fritz and Richard E. Fritz (Emily). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
