He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Harold Reid and Geraldine Beatrice Etchison; and his grandparents, Jessie, Annie of Washington, Joseph and Nelzene Reid.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Tamara, Kady and Tamir; and his great-nieces, Sandra Reid and Nell Reid-Smith. He is also survived by 3 nieces, 2 nephews, 3 great-nephews, 2 great-nieces.
