She was loved and cherished by many people including: her siblings, Helen Murphy (Washington), Wanda, Vern "Chichi" Taylor (Washington) and Jesse Washington; her nieces, Phoebe Jean Taylor, Wanda Lovie Lavern Taylor and Cyrstal Felicia Westbrook; her husband James Smith; her children, Joseph Harris (Vontay-Martha), Robert Jonathan Harris, Laura Jessica-Kenneth Brown (Smith) and Michael James (Derricka Smith); her grandchildren, Joseph Vontay-Harris II, Xavier O'Shay Harris, Saniya Unique Harris, Bakari J'Vontez Harris, J'Mani Marshay Tyrese Harris, Akiila Maisha Harris and Derri Emma Lynne Smith; her adoptive children, Amir, Xavier Atchison, Malachi and Micah Brewer; and her siblings, Eddie Washington Jr. (Delores), Robert Washington (Rosyln) and Verena Washington (Tony Westbrook).
