He was predeceased by: his mother Beverly Manthei; and his brother Mike Manthei. He is survived by: his father James Manthei (Delores); his significant other Wanda Manthei; his children, Jimmy Manthei and Veronica Manthei (Harry); his grandchildren, Hailei Manthei and Lyrick Manthei; his brothers, John Manthei (Janet) and Tommy Manthei (Robin); his sister-in-law Helen Manthei; his nephews, Mike Manthei, Kevin Manthei and Timmy Chambers (Angie); and his niece Brenda Manthei.
