He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lighthill and Dorothy Lighthill; his wife Carol Lighthill; and his sister Edith Lazarus. He is survived by: his son John Lighthill (Rebecca) of Escondido, CA; and his grandchildren, April Lighthill Harper and John Lighthill Jr..
